Cycling & Adaptive-Bike Programs

Wounded Warrior Project — Soldier Ride®



A multi-day adaptive cycling program that helps warriors rebuild confidence and camaraderie on the bike. It accommodates all injuries and provides road bikes, hand cycles, and recumbent trikes at no cost — no equipment needed. Registered WWP warriors, and in some cases family members and caregivers, are eligible.

Project Hero


A nonprofit that uses cycling for the recovery of veterans and first responders, and that builds and adapts custom bikes — including one-of-a-kind adaptive bikes — for injured heroes. They run rides, challenges, and community programs nationwide.

VA Adaptive Sports Program


The Department of Veterans Affairs supports adaptive sports (including cycling) and offers grants that can help eligible veterans get adaptive equipment and take part in clinics like the National Veterans Summer Sports Clinic.
